The Columbus (Ohio) Black Womens
Health Project (CBWHP): CBWHP was founded in 1993 as a
chapter of the National Black Womens Health Project (NBWHP) to raise
awareness and understanding amongst African American women about the
relationship between their physical, mental, and economic health.

of a noteworthy community health project
is the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) Libraries Health
Information @ Preuss project that aims to teach
disadvantaged middle school students how to find health information. Find

Toward Context-Centered Methods for
Evaluating Public Library Networked
Community Information Initiatives: Findings from the
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-funded project
undertaken by Joan C. Durrance, Professor at the University of Michigan
School of Information (SI), and Karen E.
Pettigrew, Assistant Professor at The Information School, University
of Washington, that was published in First Monday [volume 6, number 4
(April 2001)], a prestigious online journal.
Nyirrpi Grandmothers' Women's Health Program: This website
presents community initiatives taken by grandmothers in
Aboriginal communities to work with health professionals in Australia to
alleviate their health problems. The project has involved grandmothers in
the community work with health professionals to create awareness and share
their knowledge about women’s health business .Attention has been
effectively drawn via such collaborations towards community health
problems
such as poor nutrition, sugar diabetes, cancer and sexually transmitted
diseases that are prevalent in Aboriginal communities.
