Location of the Library
Although part of the University of Illinois at Chicago campus, the Library of the Health Sciences-Urbana is located on the Urbana-Champaign campus. The entrance to the Library is on the first floor of the Medical Sciences Building. The Medical Sciences Building is located on South Mathews Street south of Green Street. When walking down South Mathews Street from Green Street, it is on the left side of the street and is the second university building after the church on the corner. If driving, parking is available at meters (25 cents for 30 minutes) along the streets. Parking is also available in the parking garage at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, with entrances on both Illinois and Oregon Streets east of South Goodwin Avenue.

Borrowing Privileges
No special card is required to visit the library or to use any of the resources within it. It is possible to borrow books by obtaining a courtesy card issued by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Library. Cards may be obtained by applying at Room 203 Main Library (8.00am - 5.00pm, weekdays) or at the Bookstacks Main Circulation Desk on the second floor of the Main Library (evenings and weekends). The Main Library is located at West Gregory Drive and Sixth Street. There is no charge for the courtesy card. Photo identification and proof of your current address is required.
